2021.09.21 05:06 eattherichpls Do I even have migraines?
So, I have been dealing with chronic headaches since December 2020. I had a brief bout of unexplained but daily headaches as well in Spring 2020 but went away in May. The initial time followed an unusually protracted cold (I have had suspicions over it being covid). I've done CT scans, blood work, and everything comes up fine. I've tried various things since December and some things help at some times, but then they stop working and I have to figure out other relief methods. OTC headache meds like ibuprofen or acetaminophen do nothing.
So with that out of the way - my GP has said I am likely suffering from chronic migraines. I took his beliefs and went with it but now I am beginning to question it. The main thing that is underpinning my GP's belief in what I'm suffering from being migraines is that he has prescribed sumatriptan and it sometimes works. And he has argued that sumatriptan only works on migraines, so if I were suffering from any other type of condition, it wouldn't do anything. But sumatriptan only sometimes works under very specific situations - basically I have to take it within an hour of waking up, which I will only do if I actually feel the onset of a headache. If I notice a headache come on at 4pm, a sumatriptan won't do anything.
What I do notice about my headaches is that it feels like there is often a tightness in my left temple region or jaw (it shifts). It's like there's a muscle or something that I cannot unclench even though I try to keep myself as minimally stressed as possible and don't noticeably clench my jaw (and when I wake up 99% of the time I feel fine so I doubt it's happening as I sleep).
Also, the things that often give relief don't make me think of migraines. Acupuncture has made me feel better and it feels like it can, if most successful, "unclench" my tight areas. I know a lot of chiropractors are like snake oil salespeople but I have seen a good one who does some adjustments where I can immediately feel relief. The chiro has argued there is a mixture of temple, jaw, and neck tension, and that would explain why the source of pain (temple or jaw) shifts. Exercise often helps too, whether it's a long walk or HIIT. Massaging my jaw can help too. Now, these reliefs don't always help, but they often do. And also the most consistent things that do help make me think this is more of a muscular thing -- I have some over-ear headphones that I can put on and the way it presses against my ears and head can give immediate relief and also eating/chewing often makes me feel temporary relief.
Meanwhile, typical migraine things like sound and light sensitivity aren't a huge issue. Sound can be at times, but if I am listening to music or videos via my headphones, I am 100% fine. I have zero light sensitivity. I also have had a couple bad migraines in my life, and these chronic headaches never have the same symptoms. I never have an aura and unlike the major migraine episodes I've had, OTC medications do nothing.
So do I just have tension headaches? My chiro has also suggested it may be TMJ. I'm really starting to doubt my doctor's diagnosis. He seems to believe that what I have now is as good as it'll get. I currently do take amitryptalene and have noticed a reduction in the frequency of headaches but they are becoming more frequent again with the close of summer.
This community is pretty well-informed on headaches so I thought I'd ask what your thoughts are.

2021.09.21 05:06 SmileAndLaughrica Making my T a short film as a thank you in lieu of a letter?
I’m a film grad who’s budgeted for another 3 sessions then I’m goin’ at it alone. We have a pretty jokey atmosphere sometimes - more friendly than traditional stoic therapist - and we both have hobbies in the arts. So I want to make my T a thank you film where I speak to the camera in different locations, which would be in three parts.
The first part is a bit of a jokey joke where I attempt to compliment my T but can’t seem to play it straight. Cut to a more sincere attempt where I feel awkward. I interrupt with a cut to me cooking in my kitchen (in session we talk a lot about my relationship with food), pointing out that I never did do well at eye contact when I was in session. So here I deliver the actual thank you.
I know this sounds lame AF typing it out but I’ve written parts of the script already and they make me laugh. I think they’re pretty good jokes. And theres fun filmmaking things I wanna try with this too. I think the film will be 5 min long and will take make half a day to make.
Does this sound like an ok idea or just wildly inappropriate?

2021.09.21 05:06 Nate092 Rx 5700 memory max issue.
my rx 5700 as of late at stock (besides max PL) isnt running at 1750mhz speed anymore. now its at 1748-1746mhz speed now within games. Isnt a bg drop but its lil concerning. Probably could be due to my high refresh 164hz monitor for while having the Card bugged to run at max memory speed all time. Should i RMA it or any solutions?

2021.09.21 05:06 TherealCasePB Toggling suit powers causing micro freezing, can anyone help me fix this?
Posted this on Steam first and I'm not getting any help there. Was wondering if anyone here has seen this issue before and if they know of a fix.
So far I've tried turning every setting to low. Tried in borderless window and fullscreen, vsync on and off. I disabled all of my windows 10 apps like MSI Afterburner, iCUE, Wallpaper Engine.
My PC is an 11700K, 3090, and 32GB 3200mhz on Win10 21H1. I also have it installed on a nvme drive.
